Voices from the Land Training

Voices from the Land

Sunday, October 24, 2021 | 8:30am - 3:00pm

FREE WORKSHOP! Limited Spaces: First Come, First Served. Lunch Included!

VOICES from the LAND invites our creativity and play to interact with natural science, culture, language, many wisdom traditions, and each other—and most importantly, to pass it on. Its inventor, gifted educator Erik Mollenhauer, shared his visionary nature education around the world and with us at Ivy Creek in 2017. In 2018, VOICES from the LAND won state recognition from the Virginia Master Naturalists as PROJECT OF THE YEAR for its effectiveness.

WHO IS VOICES FOR?

  • IVY CREEK VOLUNTEERS
  • COMMUNITY LEADERS who appreciate nature education
  • RIVANNA MASTER NATURALISTS who didn’t take the 2017 workshop (get 14 hours’ volunteer credit!)

WHAT’S THE GOAL OF THE WORKSHOP?
To inspire volunteers who will carry the innovative VOICES from the LAND nature curriculum to kids and/or adults in their community, neighborhood, classroom, or nature walks.

PLEASE Register ASAP IF:

  • You can fully commit from 8:30am to 3pm on Saturday Oct. 23 and Sunday Oct. 24.
  • You can commit to at least 8 hours of volunteering after the training over the next year, applying the training to your own program or to programs at Ivy Creek or the RMN.
  • You believe that being in nature enriches children, youth and adults.

Participants: Please respect the health of others by masking, keeping social distance, and vaxxing if possible.
