Virginia Native Plant Society: Rewilding the Landscape

Susan Abraham will speak on 'Rewilding the Landscape." Susan has a deep commitment to best practices in the field of restoration landscape design, and a passion for the infinite beauty found in nature. She creates designs that mimic natural systems and endeavors to reuse, recycle and restore resources found on project sites. Susan holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Design from The George Washington University, and a BFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University, Long Beach. She is a certified Virginia Master Naturalist as well as a Watershed Steward, and pursues additional education and training through a wide range of opportunities. She is a member of the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, Society of Ecological Restoration and Earth Sangha. Susan is a former faculty member of the George Washington University Landscape Design Graduate Program, and lectures on a variety of topics for community organizations.

This program will be offered in-person at 7 PM in the Education Building of the Ivy Creek Natural Area and Historic River View Farm, weather permitting; otherwise it will be offered on Zoom.
