Changing Landscape Hike

Much has changed since the Carr/Greer family ran River View Farm, but there are still signs of their early activity in the current forests. Take a walk on May 3 from 9 - 11 AM to observe the effects of farming and time on the current landscape and forest ecosystems. 

Join Tom Wild for this hike as he points out some of the evidence of forest succession, different forest communities, and the imprint of farm activity on the landscape. We’ll use historic aerial photos to see how fast these changes have taken place. Space is limited, so registration is required. Register here.
