August Native Plant Walk

On August 15 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, join Phil Stokes for a late summer plant walk.  We'll explore forest edges and meadow areas where we should find a variety of goldenrods, mints, and milkweeds.  Trees and shrubs such as sassafras, persimmon, and black haw will be revealing their unique fruits and berries.  A visit to the reservoir should treat us to seeing cardinal flower, St John's wort, and boneset.  Meet by the kiosk near the parking lot.  Co-sponsored with the Jefferson Chapter, Virginia Native Plant Society.
