August Native Plant Walk

Join Tana Herndon for a late summer plant walk.  We will search the forest edge and a native grass field for meadow plants such as horsemint and early goldenrods and then descend to the reservoir to find wetland plants such as cardinal flower and swamp milkweed.  Meet at Ivy Creek Natural Area at 9 am for a 2 1/2 hour walk.  Co-sponsored with the Jefferson Chapter, Virginia Native Plant Society.
