August Native Plant Walk

Horsemint

Mary Lee Epps

With walk leader, Ruth Douglas, enjoy late summer wildflowers such as goldenrods, tick-trefoils, thoroughworts and horsemint, all of which should be blooming in the fields.   Along the reservoir’s edge, we might find swamp milkweed, cardinal flower, and other wetland plants.  Co-sponsored with the Jefferson Chapter, Virginia Native Plant Society,   August 16, 9:00-11:00 am, meet by the kiosk near the parking lot. No registration required. Free and open to the public.
