Plant a Meadow

Help expand the Historic River View Farm farmhouse meadow while learning how to create a Piedmont Virginia old field meadow. We'll be installing new plants to expand this evolving meadow full of native grasses and flowering plants for wildlife and habitat restoration.

Bring work gloves and a small digging tool if you have them. Be prepared to be on your knees. Enjoy butterflies, bird song, and formerly planted meadow flowers in full bloom while we work!
