Volunteers are our most valued assets!
The Ivy Creek Foundation could not exist without our many knowledgeable, dedicated volunteers. They provide invaluable expertise and support to all aspects of our work. We are always looking for new volunteers. Here are some of the ways you could volunteer:
Nature Guides
- Share your enthusiasm for nature on short walks at the Ivy Creek Natural Area
- Let us know how to contact you by filling out a Guide Info Form
Trail monitors
- Adopt a trail to maintain
- Attend trail workshops
- Lead volunteer crews
Barn volunteers
- Learn about the African-American cultural heritage site
- Share it with the public on Saturdays
- Let us know how to contact you by filling out a Volunteer Info Form
School outreach
- Help develop new programs
- Help train teachers to deliver programs
- Run programs in school
Quarterly Newsletter
- Collect and edit material for newsletter
Fundraising Events
- Help identify and organize events
Grant Writing
- Help us in our work with funding organizations
Board Committee Support
- Support the work of Board Task Forces undertaking new projects
- Provide expert advice to Board committees
General office help
- Prepare bulk mailings – four times a year
- Office/library presence
- Other tasks as agreed
