Programs with a Fee  >>  Birds and Their Habitat

In the spring the Virginia Museum of Natural History (VMNH) offers offers “Birds and their Habitat,” which is designed to help students sharpen their observational skills, increase their knowledge of the birds found at Ivy Creek, and the dynamic interaction of birds with plants, insects, and their environment.

Led by a VMNH Educator, the bird habitat program integrates life cycles, classification, and basic identification skills into an entertaining program that addresses the following Virginia SOLs.

K.2, K.6, K.8, K.9;
1.4, 1.5, 1.7;
2.4, 2.5, 2.7;
3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.8, 3.10;
4.5, 4.8;
5.2, 5.5, 5.6
