The course consists of twelve 3-hour classes on tree identification, biology, roots, soil, proper selection, planting, pruning, care, diseases, invasives, and more. The class features an outing to Montpelier’s old growth forest, an educational walk at the Ivy Creek Natural Area, and hands-on practice in tree identification.
