Special Spring Offer

Birds and Their Habitats at Ivy Creek
Enhance your nature experience with a special program
The Virginia Museum of Natural History (
VMNH) is teaming up with the Ivy Creek Foundation to offer a fun and educational Powerpoint presentation on the theme of BIRDS AND THEIR HABITAT to precede your student’s field experience at the Ivy Creek Natural Area.
Held in the
Education Center at Ivy Creek, this presentation is designed to help students sharpen their observational skills, deepen their understanding of the plant and animal life found at Ivy Creek, and the dynamic interaction of birds with plants, insects, and their environment.
Led by a VMNH Educator, this program integrates life cycles, classification, and basic identification skills into an interesting and entertaining program. The 40-minute indoor presentation will be followed by a one-hour field experience with a trained Ivy Creek guide.
This program has a maximum capacity of 55 students per session.
**This special program will be offered on
Mondays only and carries a
fee of $50.00 payable to Virginia Museum of Natural History. To pay for Birds and Their Habitats at Ivy Creek: download, fill in and mail
